Bikini Bottom Dare.

I've always been a bikini girl.

When I was little I could have passed as the Punky Brewster of Coppertone Baby.

{VIZ}

No lie. I had freckles beyond freckles and a bikini bottom tan line that was ridiculous... 

And I may or may not have been dragged by my dog, by my undies, after slipping off at 5am in the morning to visit a friend. That dog's name was Shiloh and he drug me

kicking and screaming.

Bet your bottom, I never slipped off again.

I have not been in a 2 peice since Summer 2005.

It's been tankini and once peice heaven for me.

My confidence in bikini wearing has faded with 2 babies, A WHOLELOTTA stretch marks and a belly button that screams, PLEASE DON'T SHOW ME TO THE WORLD!!

But last Sunday a friend made me take the dare of all dares.

A 2 peice bikini.

EEEEP!!!!!

I took my snow white tummy, stretch marks,

belly button that "SCREAMS, DON'T EXPOSE ME!!" 

and what little bit of confidence I had left...

and I rocked it.

I asked myself, "Why do bikini's have a label of ONLY skinny girls allowed?"

I'm not skinny, Im more of a thicky thick girl. Always have been. I have the "junk in the trunk", if you will.

I'm not lacking in the booby department either, but after breastfeeding two kids, I've nicknamed "The Girls", "The Pancakes" instead. My legs are not as toned as I would like. But hey, they aren't the full container of cottage cheese either. I have "lovedips" instead of "handles". And I have a load of stretchmarks, that Im SUPER self concious about...

But I noticed I got more and more compliments on how good I looked as the day went on.

And maybe they were just being nice.

But it totally made me feel good about myself again.

And I needed that.

Because it taught me a lesson, being beautiful doesn't mean being perfect.

And I don't have to be smooth skinned, tan, or teeny tiny to wear a bikini.

I just have to be confidant and believe in myself.

{VIZ}

And so with all that confidence I gained Sunday,

I grabbed that bikini and hopped in the pool and completely rocked it again yesterday.

And I plan on takin one of those bikinis to Cancun.

Be on the lookout for taking a peek at some picks and helping me choose which one!

And I might, just might show you that 2 peice on.

So, here we are our 2nd Tay Day!

I can't be happier, giddier, or more ecstatic to give you the news I have for you today!

Taylor is doing absolutely amazing.

Tuesday nights report was that she was she has her nights mixed up from her day.

She also is moving her right side more than her left.

Wednesday night's report was amazing!

She is responding on command very well.

She was up yeterday morning watching  TV and moving her right side even more.

Wednesday Evening Report, Tay WINKED at a fellow classmate of hers!

Thursday's Report so far and it's even better!

 She has kept WINKING, rolling her eyes, and lifting her eyebrows and forehead!!

Here she is, exactly 3 weeks later, still fighting.

She's came SO far. And has a long road ahead,

 but atleast the road ahead of her is looking up!! 

Love you Tay!

 Keep Fighting the Good Fight!!

Update for Today...

Taylor is resting a lot during the day. More active at night.

She is moving her legs more and they have removed the drainage tube from her brain.

She is more responsive, folowing her Mom, Dad and rest of the family with her eyes on command.
And sqeezing her parents hands when talked to.

I'm Summer Cleaning, because I'm absolutely crazy for cleaning on such a gorgeous day just that cool.

Alright, so the last time we spoke my heart was very much saddened.

Today my heart is full of joy.

Because this beautiful girl...

Is fighting back with everything she has!

Taylor is coming off her vent today, a trache will be put in and a ng tube as well! Her vent as of last night was set at 6 and her breathing was in the 40s! 2 days ago she held up a "peace" sign and gave her signature "thumbs up"!

She is stable and doing good!

 Tomorrow will mark 2 weeks of fighting back for Tay!

Selena was released last Friday and she is doing well, still in pain, but staying strong! 

People all over the United States are praying this family and especially for Tay's recovery. My hometown community has come together making bows, bracelts, t shirts, yard signs,and our towns McDonalds is even giving 15% of your purchase towards donations for this family tomorrow night, and teachers, students, family, friends and people from all different counites and cities are driving to my school's football field, just to pray for Tay.

 Their FaceBook Group has almost reached 6,400!

Saturday alone, the community raised over $10,000  at one event.

People, this is amazing.

God is SO good.

Hi Ya'll.

It's nice to be back. Our Vaycay was awesome. We seen Shamu, Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the crew! Nicholas' birthday was Friday and he had a blast celebrating at Disney. I will have pics very soon!

But before we get to that... I need to tell you something, ask you something really.

What does this ribbon mean?

There is a 16 yr old girl who goes by the name Taylor,

 who's fighting for her life at this very moment. 

Thursday her and her Mother, Selena were ran off the road due to another vehicle running a stop sign. This then caused the car to flip and to throw both of them from the vehicle.

 Taylor and her Mother were both airlifted, but to different hospitals.

Taylor was unresponsive.

She has very serious head trauma and tremmendous swelling around the brain.

Selena has 10 broken ribs, a puntured lung, broken ankle, and wrist.

Friday they opereated on Selena.

 Friday Taylors swelling was gone down by half.

Friday night, it peaked.

Leaving Tay with a 50/50 chance of survival.

She survived the operation, which means she's fighting!

Saturday, Drs put Taylor into a barbituate coma. This is basically putting her brain to sleep to allow the body to completely heal. Drs said it was better to do it now while the trauma is still within 48-72 hours rather than wait a few days. In most cases like Taylor this is the best thing for the patient to survive.

Today, her swelling is down to 20 and she is stable.

But the next few days are SO crucial for her.

Selena is stable and healing.

 Yesterday they put in a tube to drain the blood from her lung.

Selena was finally tranferred to the hospital Taylor is at.

Today she was able to walk around.

Listen ya'll, this family is very dear to me.

Since I was a little girl I looked up to Selena. 

Her heart is so BIG and an amazing mother, daughter, wife and friend.

I watched Taylor grow up from the teeny tiny, free spirited, beautiful little girl to the most kind hearted, gorgeous, young lady she is today. 

Im not the ready to stop watching her grow, along with others.

So, what Im asking from you...

Taylor and Selena need your prayers.

They are living on them right now.

Please Pray for Tay to be healed.

And also for Selena, Anthony, Blake and the rest of the Joiner family,

 as they endure this healing process for Taylor.
